Sea View Avenue

About This Project

At Sea View Avenue, we reimagined a large sloping lawn into a series of distinct garden spaces tailored to the needs of a growing family, all while addressing water conservation during a prolonged drought.

The terraced site now offers three functional garden areas. The first level features a spacious stone courtyard, complete with wraparound benches and stone counters, ideal for dining and entertaining. A steppingstone path on a smaller lawn leads to an elevated decomposed granite courtyard, outfitted with a gas bonfire and lounge furniture, creating a cozy gathering space.

For the family's active teens, we added a basketball and bocce ball court, and to bring the landscape to life after dark, low-voltage LED and festival lighting were installed throughout. Additionally, lush gardens of roses, dahlias, and raised vegetable planters honor the owner’s passion for plants, while maintaining harmony with the natural environment.
