About This Project

An existing Thomas Church garden was in need of revitalization to meet the needs of an active family. The historic Thomas Church garden had beautiful structure and symmetry, but with small spaces and run down materials it was in desperate need of reinterpretation.

Large-scale stone imported from India and Egypt gave the courtyards an elegant and majestic definition. The existing symmetrical brick walls were resurfaced with stucco and large stone caps to create a contemporary garden to blend with the aesthetics of the Mediterranean style home. Commissioned outdoor sculptures added interest and depth including a water fountain that anchors the front garden. Wrap around stone benches and an outdoor fireplace create a magnificent space for entertaining. Custom fabricated see-through steel gates and cascading fences mirror the existing lines of the historic home and create a sense of separation. A seamless and expansive indoor and outdoor experience defines this grand property with opportunities for large gatherings and functions.
